My MacBook Air, Mid-2012, 1.8Ghz, 256GB, has stopped receiving or reading updates from the Mac App Store. I am currently on OSX 10.11.4 but am not receiving updates to 10.11.6 Other updates such as the ones for iTunes appear to be installed though (iTunes 12.4.2). This has once happened before when I was on 10.11.2, with 10.11.2, I installed 10.11.4 using a combo update from the support page, hoping that it would fix the issue, but apparently not. If I am unable to get updates using the App Store, I will use the Support Download page, however, I would like to regain auto-update capability as I might miss important security updates, for example, I only knew there were updates because of the recently discovered 'Stagefright-like' vulnerability. I am signed in to the Mac App Store with a valid Apple ID. Please launch the Console application in any one of the following ways: ☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search.

Select it in the results (it should be at the top.) ☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens. ☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name. The title of the Console window should be All Messages.
