That feeling encapsulates who Emmet is to us,” says Dan Hageman, who, with writing partner and brother Kevin Hageman worked on the story with screenwriters Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. “ He thinks his happiness is tied to following the instructions yet the fate of the world will rely on him discovering his own creativity,” adds Kevin.

Each day on the construction crew, Emmet happily razes any buildings deemed “weird” and replaces them with ones that look exactly like all the others, on orders from President Business. Says Pratt, “ The city of Bricksburg is this big sprawl where everything looks the same and it’s all pre-fab modular homes, and any areas that have any flavor are being destroyed. So it’s being built as a kind of homogenous, utopian model, though you quickly sense there’s some underlying darkness here; something is controlling the people of Bricksburg.”.

When Wyldstyle encounters Emmet at the construction site, she is there searching for the one thing that can block Lord Business’s terrible plan, according to prophecy: The Piece of Resistance. So when that vital piece turns up inexplicably fused to Emmet’s back, like it or not, the guy whose only ambition in life is to fit in suddenly becomes The Special, the most important person in the universe. And the most hunted. Before he knows what’s happening, Emmet is careening at high speed through the Bricksburg cityscape with Lord Business’s robot assassins in fierce pursuit.

On her Instagram account, Denisse denied the accusations saying she has nothing to do with the break-up but opted not to reveal the identity of her baby's father. It's not true at all but no matter how many times I say that people will just think I’m denying it and will keep saying hurtful things. Damned if I do, damned if I don’t. It was not Vhong Navarro but it was his friend and fellow actor Zanjoe Marudo who made the first move on Deniece Cornejo. In an affidavit submitted to the Taguig Prosecutors Office on Wednesday, Cornejo narrated that she saw Navarro sometime in 2011 in a store of a Makati mall where he was endorsing an international shoe brand. While shopping shoes for her brothers, Cornejo saw Marudo staring at her while uttering “ ang ganda talaga (she is so beautiful).” Marudo, who accompanied Navarro in the launch, made a move to Cornejo without even formally introducing himself.

In the affidavit, Cornejo said: “ Xanjo Marudo, without introductions, suddenly asked me ‘Para sa boyfriend mo? (Is that for your boyfriend)?” Cornejo, however, did not say what her response was to Marudo’s question. After almost four months of being hidden from public view since his sex scandal with EB Babe Yosh ( check out the video and related news ) leaked, the comedian is seen doing what he loves to do (aside of course from what I previously mentioned) - as a stand-up comedian. According to an article posted on GMA News site, the former Eat Bulaga!

Mainstay is currently doing a stand-up comedy gig at Zirkoh Comedy Bar in Tomas Morato, Quezon City. However, there is no clear announcement yet from the TAPE management on whether he would be be back soon in GMA’s noontime show “Eat Bulaga.”. We've always known that Spider-Man's most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in “The Amazing Spider-Man 2,” Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead.

It's great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there's no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp. From young twin brothers Gary (director) and Edmund (writer), “Geography Club” stars “Glee’s” Alex Newell with Cameron Deane Stewart, Justin Deeley, Nikki Blonsky, Meaghan Martin, Andrew Caldwell and Allie Gonino in a coming-of-age and coming-out film of contemporary gay teenagers who formed a club that seemed so nerdy that it keeps the curious away, so that they can openly and safely discuss their true sexual identities. Based on Brent Hartinger's best-selling critically acclaimed novel of the same title, “Geography Club” is a fast, fresh coming-of-age movie that tells a real and powerful story unfolding in every high school around the country – a story of kids hiding their true identities in plain sight, even as they feverishly pursue their hearts’ desires yet still look for something that will finally define who they are.

They start out trying to protect their one big secret among themselves. Russell (Stewart) is dating Trish (Martin), a sweet but sexually motivated young lady – even as he is falling for the football jock Kevin (Deeley), who won’t ever reveal the truth to his macho teammates Nolan (Harvey) and Jared (Darden).

Min (Maki) and Terese (Blonsky) tell everyone they’re really just best friends. And then there’s Ike (Newell) who is trying on every identity in the book. They know they are different, but at least they’re not in daily danger like the bullied geek Brian Bund (Olivares).

Yet, when Russell’s sexual orientation is suddenly exposed to the whole school by the ultra-popular Kimberly (Gonino), the members of the Geography Club begin to panic. The movie aims to bust old stereotypes; create fun, relatable characters where few have previously existed in pop culture; and explore a new world – one in which tolerance is slowly growing but peril still lurks for teens who don’t quite fit into the usual crowd. Edmund Entin, who wrote the screenplay, said, “ I was immediately attracted to this project because I have such an affection for the novel and jumped on the chance to work on the film. I saw in the novel, a tapestry of characters and emotions that felt specific to these times. “ The best coming of age films resonates with the mainstream when someone can take the pulse of the contemporary adolescent and write something that shades them perfectly. The novel did that.

And my vision for the screenplay was to accentuate those feelings. As the writer of the screenplay I felt I was borrowing the universe from the novel’s author, Brent Hartinger, and delicately molding it to exist as a narrative more fitted for the screen.” Gary Entin, the director, reiterates: “ What struck me most about the novel was how cleverly its different themes were sewn in, and how perceptive they were in their quest to define what drives a young adult emotionally. Geography Club merges the journeys of many different students to service its larger message, giving everyone who reads it a character to identify with. “ I believe there is something in this film for everyone. First and foremost I believe a movie should be entertaining. If you walk away from this movie having had a good laugh and a good cry, we’d all have done our job.

My overall vision for the film was to take a subject matter usually told from an insider’s perspective and treat it with the commercial aesthetic of a classic John Hughes film. After all, it might be the era of 'it gets better,' but there are more social land mines - from digital dating to physical and cyber bullies, from the stress on success to being the most publicity exposed generation in history - for kids to outwit than ever. 'Geography Club' zooms through this new reality, and becomes the coming-of-age movie of a generation as savvy as any, yet still flummoxed by the timeless question of how anyone can survive the intoxicating madness of youth and emerge happy to be who they are. Join “Geography Club” as it comes out in cinemas on February 5 from CrystalSky Multimedia. “TV Patrol” became the second most-watched TV program nationwide as viewers tuned in for the latest news, including the latest updates on the controversial Vhong Navarro mauling incident. “The Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition Doubles” will give a sneak peek at the inspiring stories of some of its contestants who will undergo a life-changing journey to a healthier life in its primer this Saturday (February 1) on ABS-CBN. They will be introduced by no less than the “Biggest Loser” team composed of host Iza Calzado, challenge masters Matteo Guidicelli and Robi Domingo, and fitness coaches and real-life married couple Jim and Toni Saret, who will also share how they got to be a part of the reality show and the weight loss struggles they faced when they were younger. The primer will show the pre-camp, the first part of the competition where the contestants will be asked to lose weight on their own, using only the things that are readily available in their homes and environment, for 30 days.

“Ang Bigating Pagbabago: The Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition Doubles Primer” will air after the “MMK” episode featuring Iza’s inspiring journey to health and how she bravely faced and overcame obesity. In “The Right Kind of Wrong,” a romantic comedy, or perhaps a comedy about the madness of romance, we are introduced to Leo, a total romantic and a failed-writer-turned-dishwasher made famous for his many flaws in a blog called “Why You Suck,” a huge Internet success written by his ex-wife Julie (played by Kristen Hager). Then Leo meets Colette (Sara Canning), the girl of his dreams on the day she is marrying the perfect man.

And so, the ultimate underdog story begins as Leo, a fearless dreamer, risks all to show Colette and the whole wide world all that is right with a man famous for being wrong. Convinced Colette is his soul mate, Leo goes on the ‘unconventional tours’ that she leads in the scenic town of Mount Yalo and doggedly observes her secret daily rituals. He invites her anonymously to witness him in action – in his job as a dishwasher ‘with themes.’ In the process he discovers that Colette is an outsider, like himself, with a wicked sense of humor and a passion for speaking her mind. In Leo’s war to win Colette’s heart, he gets beat up by kids, loses his home, his job, and (temporarily) his cat. Leo’s pursuit of Colette also changes Leo himself. Because when he discovers Colette has read Julie’s book he reads it to know what he is up against.

And taking in Julie’s complaints, he is finally forced to face the ways he let Julie down. And the ways that his refusal to listen to others — has let others in his life down too, including himself. “ Colette is a strong-willed woman,” observed Canning, “ and, at first, she’s really not having this crazy pursuit from Leo, bombarding her at work and doing crazy things all over town. But somehow, he manages to find his way in.” At first, Leo’s demented behavior substantiates the claims Julie makes in her blog-turned-book. “ But bit by bit, Colette begins to see a lot of her own traits reflected in Leo’s actions and she realizes Leo might not be too far off the mark.

Colette has a great line after she reads Julie’s book and the blog and she says to Leo, “You know, a lot of the things she Julie calls wrong don’t seem wrong to me.””. Anyone who ever designed a universe from a heap of parts on their bedroom floor will know what Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, writer/directors of Warner Bros.' New 3D animated comedy “The LEGO Movie,” mean when they say that, growing up, they always had buckets of LEGO® bricks. “ We’d build spaceships and all kinds of crazy things, but it wasn’t just the building, it was the infinite possibilities of things to make and express that was so irresistible and exciting,” says Miller. As filmmakers, their interest took a different focus. “ Chris and I were inspired by the ingenuity and humor that comes out of the international LEGO community,” says Lord, referring to such outlets as LEGO Cuusoo, the LEGO Group’s fan submission site for potential new products, “ReBrick” forums where people can share their creations, and the growing number of unique short films, using LEGO bricks and minifigures, that are produced and shared online by individuals from every corner of the world. Such is the fascination of the LEGO brand, an endlessly evolving and hugely popular construction toy that has cultivated creativity across generations and cultures since its inception. Committed to upholding that principle, Lord and Miller knew from the start that this could be no standard animation but a virtual build, a feature-length motion picture made entirely of LEGO bricks and elements.

“ We both thought,” Lord continues, “ ‘Wouldn’t it be amazing to make a big, fun, action-packed LEGO adventure that captures the feeling of being a kid putting these pieces together, but on a truly epic scale?’ And what if it could retain that handmade quality these little films have that’s so engaging. Because part of the appeal of LEGO bricks is how accessible they are as an art form, we wanted to make a film that felt like something anyone could do in their own basementprovided they had a gigantic basement and a few million bricks!” Actually, closer to 15 million, if you count each brick, character, set piece, and prop needed, as the filmmakers ultimately realized their vision for the film. Indeed, “ There are two different ways people play with LEGO bricks,” Miller relates.

“ One is to follow the instructions on the kit and put together this awesome thing, whatever it is, which you then set on your shelf and never use so it doesn’t break, and the other is to take a pile of random pieces and make something from your own imagination, then take it apart and make something else. ‘The LEGO Movie’ uses these two different approaches as the basis for its story, which is really about innovation and creativity and the importance of change.”. Producer Roy Lee calls the directors “ two of the most creative people I know. They did an amazing job on ‘Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs,’ which was a fairly thin book, and they came in and reinvented some of the characters and really expanded it from what was on the page. With the LEGO concept, we had a blank canvas and they were the perfect guys to come in and invent a whole new world to explore.” True fans and true originals, they brought equal parts reverence and irreverence to “The LEGO Movie.” States Miller, “ What we always try to do with our movies is create something that would make us laugh, and make our friends laugh.

We don’t ever want to do something that talks down to kids.” “ Obviously, kids and their parents will get it,” Lord says, “ but we wanted to bridge the generations and keep in mind that there’s a community of adult LEGO fans who make the most complex and incredible creations a kid might not even think of. My favorite films are the ones I can take my granny to, or my parents and my girlfriend, or my nieces and nephews, and know we will enjoy it together. That’s the most fun you can have at a movie theater - when people of all ages are laughing together.” Opening across the Philippines on Thursday, February 6, “The LEGO Movie” is distributed by Warner Bros.
