A: As an industry leader, Callaway Golf is committed to offering the most technologically advanced and innovative new products available to consumers. Therefore, while we thank you for thinking of Callaway Golf Company concerning submission of your idea, we are unable to accept your idea submission. We wish you the best of luck in your endeavors. Q: Will the vintage finish of my Callaway wedge rust? A: Callaway Mac Daddy II wedges with the slate finish are raw, meaning that the carbon steel is not plated. With time and use, your slate wedges will rust; this is an expected feature with this finish that will add to the Demonstrably Superior and Pleasingly Different quality of this fine product. Many top professionals prefer the raw, rusty wedge finish.

As the forged carbon steel of your slate wedge oxidizes, it will rust in a way that complements the feel inherent in the metal, while also reflecting the personality and use patterns of each owner. You can promote this process by simply putting your wedges into play and enjoying them, then wiping them clean and dry immediately after each use. In time, they will take on a character and finish that's uniquely suited to your style and conditions of play. If you wish to clean your Vintage wedges and slow the rusting process, you can use a synthetic scouring pad. Our Callaway Chief of Golf Club Design, Roger Cleveland, recommends Scotch-Brite Purple.

He buys the synthetic scouring pads, cuts them into small squares and keeps them in his golf bag. Regardless of the finish, any wedges stored for the off-season or played in damp conditions should be thoroughly cleaned and dried prior to storage.

You can wipe them down with a lubricant-cleaner to help prevent rust from developing on non-plated surfaces. Q: Are the grooves of my Callaway irons and wedges conforming? A: For questions regarding the grooves of your Callaway clubs, please call our Customer Service Department at (800) 588-9836. Our business hours are Monday through Friday, 6:00am to 5:00pm Pacific Standard Time. After asking questions, getting answers, reading threads and accessing all of the great information on this web site I decided to purchase a pre-owned Callaway Steelhead III 5w for $30 off of Ebay. I went to range at lunch today to try it out and I must say it was a $30 well spent.

Now let me point out that I have not been playing very long and am very inconsistent to say the least. But from the very first swing of this club (hitting off a mat) I was drilling shots straight as an arrow at least 170-180 yards.

And the club was making a sweet ping every shot to boot. For someone on a budget, or someone who just wants a fine club at an inexpensive price I highly recommend the Steelhead III. Callaway Pre-Owned is awesome. I had the same Hawkeye driver for 12 years or so, and decided to pull the trigger on an Octane Tour, and my distance increased by a LOT over my old club.

After a year and a half or so, I decided to get a club a buddy has that I hit even better, so for only $90 shipped, I managed to snag an 8.5. Razr X Black. Should be here Monday, and I can't wait.

My Diablo Octane Tour was listed as 'Average' condition, and it looked brand new when I got it. I've been spying Callaway Pre-Owned's site for a few weeks now, waiting on a set of Mizuno or Titleist blades to show up. No rush to replace my irons, but it's so cheap (comparatively) to what I paid for my Titleist irons when I got them new, that I don't mind paying the price of what comes out to a few rounds of golf, to get something new.

Great Club, I have Callaway steelhead III 3w and 5w, got 3w almost 8years ago with steel shaft, 5w from ebay 3years ago, the sound and feel just being great, modern fairway wood just nowhere near it, especially now they use different martial for the head i never found anything sound like the steelhead. So last year reshaft both of them with project x 5.5, it not as far as tm rocketball but it still create distance and flight i want, i think i will bag them forever, and with such old club in your bag, it just make u feel little special when u play with ur mates. As many know you cannot make a local rule like that it goes against the USGA Rules of Golf. If you followed that rule you cannot post your round to GHIN and you certainly could not play any type of real competition using it. I am sure that's just in place to try and move the hoards along in their friendly games. I am not sure why they don't just use the new rule for 2019; search three minutes and take a two stroke penalty.

I would find it hard to believe that many courses would even attempt to put a rule like that in place. Im curious where you guys think I will be at the end of the season using my methods (assuming my back is good all year)? Do you think Ill stuggle to get below a 30hc? Also what would you guys consider a moderate success for me and what would you consider to be very successful? Again my past is: averaged 13 or 14hc for last 10 years. I have 5 or 6 sub 80 rounds, my best being a 75 about 5 years ago. My lowest cap was an 8 for a few weeks then shot up to an 11.

All this was right handed with none of the health issues i have now. Just curious to see what you guys expect.

Everybody says that winning a major will change the trajectory of your golf career, but this is only the case if you have a solid career that the major acts as a capstone for. Not many remember Danny Willett, because besides his recent Masters victory he's only won once on the PGA Tour (sorry Euro Tour guys, but there is a pretty significant difference between the two tours and there's a reason Euro Tour players try to play in PGA Tour events and not vice versa). Lucas Glover won the US Open in 2009, but with only 3 other PGA Tour wins to his name he's forgotten by most. Did you remember Ben Curtis, winner of the 2003 Open Championship? Didn't think so. How about Y.E. Yang who won the PGA in 2009?

Major championships CAN act as a turning point in someone's career, or as a high point that caps off their lifetime achievements, but if you only win one and you haven't done much else you're going to be forgotten the same as the thousands of past professional golfers who only achieved small success even if they made a living off it. A major championship win alone isn't going to provide you with comfortable living for the rest of your life as many make it out to be. The cushy lifetime sponsor deals only go to those who've made a name for themselves beyond a single tournament, not just those who are one and done. Thank you sir, im hopeful it holds up and I can complete my experiment.

Most amatures dont get instruction from a coach but they sure do from friends, youtube, magazines etc. My approach will also differ in several other ways. Ill post about that when we get there.

Thanks so much for the well wishes. I agree on the medical review. Ill be getting regular checkups with my doctor as well as my physio. I will have a follow up bone scan in the summer as well to see how the medication and exercise has gone. My health is the #1 priority, I will not risk it for golf.

On the instruction it goes against my theory and I will not be getting any. It will be fun to see if my theories are a total failure like most here think or if it will be a success like I think. TST Blog Entries.
